Eastlake Assets

Eastlake E & P has 2 assets in the oil-rich Niger Delta in its portfolio.

OML 96 - Ovia Field

OML 96 is a richly prospective oil and gas terrain spanning 221 square kilometer area. With a well-understood geology of faulted rollover structures and 21 stacked hydrocarbon-bearing sands currently identified, OML 96 is one of the most underdeveloped yet geologically promising blocks in Nigeria’s upstream portfolio.

Within OML 96, the Ovia Field stands out as a high-impact opportunity for sustainable upstream oil and gas development. The field is accompanied by other significant producing assets such as Gili Gili and Gili Gili North, as well as at least seven additional prospective and contingent fields, positioning OML 96 as one of Nigeria’s most underutilized but richly endowed hydrocarbon acreages.

Through and executed Financial Technical Services Agreement (FTSA), Eastlake Exploration and Production Limited has commenced it march towards the fullest development of the Ovia Field, bringing crude onstream within a record time. Through a combination of high-resolution 3D seismic datasets (acquired in 2010–2011) and a suite of advanced geotechnical and reservoir studies, Eastlake has confirmed significant upside in both discovered and undrilled sands. These findings establish Ovia as a multi-play, high-recovery field suitable for phased development. Eastlake draws and retains validation for the foregoing through:

A Competent Person’s Report (CPR) by global petroleum consultancy RPS Group (2015), confirming commercial viability

Reservoir modelling, well log interpretation,  and dynamic simulations conducted by industry leaders such as Schlumberger, Degeconek, and Laser Engineering.

Identification/confirmation of additional oil and gas sands with strong continuity, good porosity, and favourable drive mechanisms, ideal for efficient recovery and long-term field optimization.

Eastlake’s commitments for the Ovia Field has seen it either commence or conclude key development activities centered around:

Environmental Studies, Engagements Authorizations and Approvals

 Surveys and Mapping

 Site Preparation

 Procurement of Long Lead Items

 Regulatory Engagements

Eastlake Exploration & Production Limited is transforming the narrative of underdeveloped Nigerian oil assets by taking decisive steps to unlock the full potential of Ovia Field in OML 96, which is at the cusp of First Oil by Q4 2025.

OML 141

Located strategically between the states of Rivers and Bayelsa, OML 141 lies in the southern segment of Nigeria’s prolific Niger Delta region. This area has consistently held a strong position in Nigeria’s energy scene, having a long history of providing up to 40% of the country’s daily production of hydrocarbons. Eastlake’s entry into OML 141 will further ensure the continuation and expansion of petroleum production within location and corridor.

OML 141 is currently owned by three joint owners: Emerald Energy Resources Limited (EERL), which holds a 53.9% ownership stake; Amni Oil & Gas Limited (AMNI), which holds a 44.1% ownership stake; and Bluewater Oil & Gas Investments Limited (BOGI), which holds a 2% ownership stake. EERL is designated as the operator.

Eastlake Exploration and Production Limited has executed and activated a Financial and Technical Services Agreement (FTSA) over the North-Western section of OML 141, now formally referred to as OML 141 NW. Under this framework, Eastlake E&P is deploying its proven Fast-Track, Low-Cost Development and Value-Integrated Concept, a flexible, modular approach that enables scalable project delivery while maintaining capital discipline and operational efficiency.

Development activities in OML 141 NW are structured into Project Groups (PGs) to ensure phased value creation, reduce initial capex, and de-risk execution. While OML 141 NW holds at least five identified hydrocarbon fields, the current development priority is the highly prospective Barracuda Field, being advanced under Project Group 1 (PG1).

Eastlake’s Project Group 1 (PG1) targets the accelerated development of the Barracuda Field, which holds significant oil and gas volumes based on legacy seismic and drilling data alongside deep technical and subsurface studies carried out by Eastlake. PG1 aims to unlock:

Up to 100 million barrels of recoverable crude oil

Over 50 billion cubic feet (BCF) of natural gas

Through the use of smart well placement, Early Production Facilities (EPFs) and flexible export strategies, Eastlake will achieve early monetization while laying the foundation for full-field development. The project is aligned with Nigeria’s upstream growth strategy and integrates seamlessly into broader national plans such as Project One Million Barrels and  the Decade of Gas.

Eastlake Group focuses on Oil and Gas Exploration, Oil & Gas Services, Investments, Infrastructure Development, Power Generation,  Telecommunications and Clean Energy in Nigeria and Africa.
