OML 96 - Ovia Field
OML 96 is a 221 square kilometer area that represents unrealized potential in Nigeria’s oil sector. This block, which includes at least seven other prospective and contingent fields in addition to the three discovered / operating fields (Gili Gili, Gili Gili North, and Ovia), has great potential for long-term, sustainable development. Even with all of its prospects, its resources have not yet been fully utilized.
OML 96 is located within the Western Delta Depo belt of the Niger Delta Onshore terrain, which is dominated by simple / faulted rollover structures, proven to be very successful with
numerous known producing fields.
It is a conventional stacked sands reservoir (21 identified oil and gas levels) with proven reserves and delineated exploration upside.
Eastlake E&P holds the Financial Technical Services Agreement (FTSA) for Ovia Field development which has now been confirmed as an highly prospective field with additional sands, plays and robust reservoirs. This confirmation and position is based on:
✓ High Quality 3D Seismic data acquired in 2010 and 2011
✓ Various studies, tests and reappraisals carried out by proficient and industry leading companies such as Degeconek, Schlumberger, Laser Engineering and a host of others,
✓ Competent Person’s Report (CPR) delivered by RPS, a world leading practice with experienced Petroleum Engineer, in 2015.
